Brief description of my research work

I am interested in social stratification and inequality across later life, life course and time-use research, and broader topics in quantitative social sciences (sociology and demography). My current research examines how information and communication technology (ICT) shapes the elderly’s mental health, social networks, and time use behaviors. Apart from my primary research agenda on health and digital inequalities, I am also interested in understanding the mechanisms of how social intervention can improve children’s cognitive and non-cognitive skills in very low-income and less-developed areas. Methodologically, I adopt a multi-method approach, including design-based causal inferences, social sequence analysis, computational methods, and field experiments.
