We are thrilled to announce that our PhD candidate, Zhao Mengke, has achieved a significant milestone in her academic journey with the publication of her first lead-author journal paper, titled “Beyond the Paycheck: Family Systems, Adult Children’s Job Sector, and Parental Subjective Well-Being in China,” in the prestigious Journal of Marriage and Family.

This study, grounded in family systems theory, explores the relationship between adult children’s job sectors (public vs. private) and their parents’ subjective well-being in post-reform China.
