Brief description of my research work
My research examines the sociocultural experiences of gay men in Sinophone contexts navigating midlife and singlehood, with attention to how affect, recognition, and intimacy are shaped by broader social, legal, and media structures. Situated at the intersection of sociology, gender studies, and cultural studies, my work explores queer media, legal temporality, and affective governance across East and Southeast Asia.
