The Department of Sociology is thrilled to announce the launch of the Admission Scholarships for the Master of Arts Programme in Sociology (社會學文學碩士入學獎學金), a remarkable initiative designed to inspire and support high-achieving candidates.

Beginning with the 2026/27 admissions, we will award up to eight scholarships—each valued at HK$50,000—annually. These scholarships will be available to four master’s degree students from universities in the Chinese Mainland, two from local universities, and two from international universities. No separate application is required; simply submit an online admission application by 31 January 2026 to be considered.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce a substantial increase in the value of the existing Academic Scholarships for the Master of Arts Programme in Sociology (社會學文學碩士學術獎學金), which will rise from HK$10,000 to HK$50,000 for each award, starting in the recent academic year. These scholarships will be awarded to the students with the highest and second-highest CGPA scores in their final term, further recognizing and supporting academic excellence.
